1. About Code Sentinel Data

All transactions on this site are conducted by Code Sentinel Data, an independent data science practice specializing in the design and generation of synthetic clinical datasets. The practice is directed by Maksym Chekerskyi, whose professional credentials — including ORCID researcher identity and peer-reviewed methodology — are detailed on the Legal & Compliance page. For questions regarding any provision below: code@sentineldata.com.ua.

2. What you are purchasing

Every product on this site is digital access to a downloadable dataset — not a physical good, and not a subscription unless a specific listing states otherwise. Upon completion of a purchase, you receive a download link (and, for larger datasets, a link to cloud storage) to the files described on that dataset's page. The terms under which purchased files may be used are governed separately by the Dataset License.

3. Pre-purchase review

Every dataset listing includes a complimentary preview package and technical documentation describing the contents — fields, format, size, and generation methodology. No product is sold sight-unseen. By completing checkout, you confirm that you reviewed the preview materials and determined the dataset to be suitable for your intended purpose.

4. Payment processing

Payments are processed through PCI-compliant third-party payment gateways. Your card details, bank information, and financial credentials are entered directly with the payment processor and are never seen, transmitted to, or stored by Code Sentinel Data. Cryptocurrency payments (USDT TRC-20) are available as an alternative settlement method through a dedicated digital asset service provider. Invoices are available upon request.

5. Returns and satisfaction

Because every dataset includes a free preview and complete documentation prior to purchase, refunds are generally not issued for completed transactions. The pre-purchase review is specifically designed to allow an informed purchasing decision before any commitment is made.

If, within 14 calendar days of delivery, you identify a material discrepancy between the delivered dataset and what was described on its listing page — for example, a documented column is missing, the row count is substantially different from the stated figure, or the data format does not match the specification — please contact code@sentineldata.com.ua with specific details. Each such case is reviewed individually, and where a genuine discrepancy is confirmed, an appropriate resolution will be provided.

6. Delivery issues

If a download link does not function, a file is corrupted, or access to a purchased product cannot be obtained due to a technical issue on our side, that is a delivery problem — not a product dispute. Contact code@sentineldata.com.ua and the matter will be resolved directly until you have full working access to the product you paid for.

7. Accounts

Certain features (order history, support correspondence) require a free account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity conducted under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, contact us immediately.

8. Intended use and limitations

Datasets are provided as described on their respective listing pages and are generated from mathematical and statistical models calibrated against published biomedical literature. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy and clinical plausibility, datasets are intended for research, machine learning, and product development purposes. If your intended use carries specific regulatory, clinical, or compliance requirements, we recommend consulting with a qualified advisor in your jurisdiction to confirm suitability before relying on the data for that purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Code Sentinel Data's total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount actually paid for that dataset. Code Sentinel Data is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of any dataset.

10. Governing principles

These terms are governed by generally recognized principles of international digital commerce applicable to cross-border transactions between businesses and consumers. If you are a consumer based in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection legislation, nothing in these terms limits any protection those rules afford you that cannot be waived by agreement.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time to reflect operational changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes affecting a purchase already completed will be communicated to you directly.
